Jacob earned his first belt promotion in karate on July 28! Here he is with his new yellow-striped belt after just passing his test. He has enjoyed going with Owen Read and Sierra Savage, two kids in our ward. Concentration and self-control are the two main things they promote in the Little Ninjas class. I am very impressed with the studio and teachers--they really reinforce learning control of their bodies and minds, respecting parents/teachers, and stranger danger. I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I asked Jacob to do something, and his response: "Yes, Ma'am!" That's worth the cost right there!
